Manifesto

The members of SUGRAMA in their Annual General Body meeting held once in two years, present their activities and success stories and share their problems and look at addressing their grievances.

The members during this process, while reiterating the need for a collective voice through the platform, draw up their manifesto consisting of issues relating to local self-government. This manifesto is then submitted to the government and followed up with advocacy and lobbying to ensure that their submissions are taken into consideration.

Since the launch of SUGRAMA, the members have been reiterating on several issues pertaining to the strengthening of women’s leadership through increasing reservations and giving more importance to the local self-government.
